Please bring chairs to sit on. There are some chairs on site, but quantities may be limited.

There is no food/drink other than water allowed in the facility, but there is a concession that should be available in the Arena next door. The arena also has vending machines.

Parking is free and fairly abundant.

MVJRD Skate-a-Thon 2024 !!!

Metro Vancouver Junior Roller Derby (MVJRD) is a non-profit league dedicated to offering youth of all genders a safe and supportive community in which to learn the empowering, inclusive sport of roller derby. Led by Coach Jabba the Butt and her dynamic group of coaches, and supported by a dedicated group of parent volunteers, our two teams (the low-contact Rolling Nightmares and the full-contact Screampunks) host and participate in several events throughout the year, including home and away games, recruitment drives, the Vancouver Pride Parade, and our bi-annual junior roller derby tournament.

On Saturday, May 4, 2024, our young skaters will gear up for a Star Wars-themed skate-a-thon to support events and travel opportunities, including a two-day trip to Red Deer, Alberta, in June!

Our Screampunks will skate for 45 minutes straight.

Rolling Nightmares will skate for 30 minutes straight.

And our Fresh Skates will skate for 15 minutes straight! 

Join us at Trout Lake rink on May 4 to cheer the skaters on, or tune in to the livestream at 9 am!
